## Prices
Quick: 0.20 USDC. Standard: 0.75 USDC. Deep: 2.50 USDC.
POST /api/v1/quote with your request for a current price. The paid request must match current payment requirements.

## Buy a search
1. Generate and persist a random Idempotency-Key (16–128 letters/digits/_/-). It is also your private result access key.
2. POST /api/v1/find with this key and JSON {"need":"API for extracting tables from PDF files","max_results":5}. text/plain is also accepted. Max 16 KiB.
3. Receive HTTP 402 and x402 v2 requirements in PAYMENT-REQUIRED (base64) and the body.
4. Review asset, destination, network and price. Use an x402 client with a spending limit to sign an EIP-3009 USDC authorization. Retry the identical body and key with PAYMENT-SIGNATURE.
5. Payment settles through CDP before research. 200 returns vendors, match_reasons, requirements_met, requirements_unverified, inferred_information, nullable pricing/contact, and evidence with URLs, quotes and retrieval timestamps.
6. For 202, poll GET /api/v1/requests/{id} with Authorization: Bearer <original Idempotency-Key>.

## Retries
Reuse the same key and body on connection errors. Up to two free retries of failed paid research. Never start a new payment after settlement_unknown; preserve the request ID for reconciliation. Zero-match completed research is charged. No automatic refunds. Source claims do not guarantee stock, delivery or contract terms. Mandatory criteria lacking evidence exclude vendors.

## Demo
Demo uses fictional PDF API fixtures, never real money. Only in mode demo, send PAYMENT-SIGNATURE: demo:<Idempotency-Key>. Live mode rejects this.

No vendor transactions, marketplace, subscriptions, or customer accounts. Do not submit secrets or confidential material. Live research sends request content to search/model providers.
